Manju returned with an award from the the B.E.S.T 2013 summer school at the world-famous IRCAD surgical robotics centre (http://www.ircad.fr/?lng=en) in Strasbourg, France. 

The summer school focused on business, engineering, surgery and technology for minimally invasive surgery. Use of various laproscopic tools were demonstrated by engineers from Karl Storz and Covidien. Business and Entrepreneurship sessions were given by CEO's of few start-up companies and venture capitalists. In-vivo gall bladder and colon resection surgery was performed by all participants using laproscopic tools and Da-Vinci robot. Projects session were organized with teams to provide engineering solution for a given problem statement and propose business model with investments and revenues. Manju's team received the "BEST of B.E.S.T. Award" for the most innovative engineering concept, functional prototype and business presentation.
