Mayor of Kingston in the Perk Lab

Bryan Paterson, the mayor of Kingston visited the Perk Lab on August 10, 2017

Mayor Paterson took part in a tour of campus to learn more about the innovative research and entrepreneurship activities taking place at Queen's and his tour included the Perk Lab. As they concluded the tour, the Mayor reiterated his appreciation to the Perk Lab and its students and specifically said that "the second student’s research (the young lady with the VR headset) struck him as a very elegant and impressive solution for the problem it solved."  The young lady was Emily Rae, who demoed her project on Neurosurgical burr hole placement using the Microsoft HoloLens, tried out by the Mayor in the attached picture.
