Andras Lasso, senior research engineer in the PerkLab, has defended his PhD with flying banners at the Technical University of Budapest. We will celebrate when he comes back to Kingston in January.
This past week, Dr. Gabor Fichtinger joined the ranks of many notable medical imaging scientists as an elected Fellow of the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) Society. This position recognizes his considerable scientific contributions and exemplary service to the MICCAI community.
During the prestigious International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) held last week, Ehsan Dehghan was selected as a finalist for the conference’s Young Scientist Award. He received an honourable mention for his work on point-to-volume registration of prostate implants.

One-time Infrastructure Supplement for Cancer Care Ontario Research Chairs has been awarded to the Perk Lab. The award will be applied toward open source system development for image-guided robotic interventions.
